The in-office procedure is called “Laser Floater Treatment” (LFT) or Laser Vitreolysis. Using the FDA approved Ellex Ultra Q Reflex Laser, the procedure neither removes nor fragments your floaters, but vaporizes them into gas bubbles. The Ultra Q Reflex (Ellex) and Tango Reflex (Ellex) lasers are optimized for viewing the vitreous because they allow for coaxial illumination, giving the operator the ability to view the floater and retina at the same time, providing the necessary spatial context needed for safe and efficacious treatments. 15 Most treatments can be performed at between 2.5mJ and 6.5mJ energy and typically take 150 to 200 pulses to accomplish for symptomatic Weiss rings. Eye Floater Laser Treatment Center. Our center has performed over 20,000 documented floater laser vitreolysis sessions on a worldwide patient base.. We have the superior Swiss Made LASAG YAG laser, and have also used the Ellex Laser on patients we treated treated in Europe.

ELLEX is a laser treatment for floaters. It is commonly assumed that the laser breaks the vitreous strands into smaller pieces; actually, the laser energy converts the vitreous into gas and then the eye promptly absorbs the gas. Ellex technology enables lower energy, IOL-friendly treatment; Precision in incision. Ellex’s custom-designed laser cavity, which is at the heart of our YAG laser range, delivers a four nanosecond Ultra Gaussian pulse at high peak power and can typically produce the industry’s lowest energy optical breakdown in air at 1.8 mJ.* Among the topics discussed are the emergence and evolution of laser floater treatment, how they construct their treatment algorithms, proper patient selection, and the improved safety and efficacy of laser floater treatment after the introduction of technology advancements including True Coaxial Illumination™ (Ellex).
“In the case of a Weiss ring, for example, laser floater treatment can be fantastic,” he continues, noting that this treatment typically involves an average of only 1.2 sessions. “We’ve found more than 90 percent of patients who undergo this treatment are very happy.

Cad designer job description
Today, more than 35,000 Ellex systems are in use in over 100 This monograph describes reimbursement for surgical treatment of vitreous floaters with a Nd:YAG1 laser using the Ultra Q Reflex™ or Tango Reflex™ multi-modality laser system. Much of the information in this document is taken from official publications of the Medicare program. The reader is encouraged to check with the local Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for additional Ultrasound. Lasers Performed with Reflex™ Technology from Ellex, Laser Floater Treatment or LFT is a minimally invasive procedure that can significantly improve a patient’s perception of their everyday visual functionality and provide them with much-needed relief from eye floaters. With the laser I use to perform vitreolysis (YAG Reflex Laser Systems, Ellex), I can visualize not only behind the capsule but all the way to the retina.
Custom-designed cavity produces Ultra Gaussian pulse. Ellex technology enables lower energy, IOL-friendly treatment. At the London Vision Clinic Retina, LFT is performed by Prof. Stanga using the latest ELLEX Reflex Technology TM. Immediately prior to your treatment, eye drops will be given to dilate your pupils and numb the eye to be treated.

News about laser floater removal (LFR) and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) with ab-interno canaloplasty (ABiC).
Around the world, thousands of physicians are deploying the procedure as a primary therapy tool that stimulates the eye's natural healing response to effectively manage their patients’ IOP without the burn and scar tissue associated with argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT). Berkeley Eye Center is pleased to now offer laser floater removal in Houston using an Ellex laser. This procedure, also known as laser vitreolysis, is a non-invasive, pain-free outpatient treatment option for those who are experiencing persistent, vision-affecting floaters. A combination laser with SLT for glaucoma, laser vitreolysis for floaters, and capsulotomy and iridotomy treatments - in a single, advanced laser system Tango’s patented, proprietary cavity facilitates more effective heat transfer and cooling, thereby permitting fast, efficient operation.
We use the FDA-approved Ellex Ultra Q Reflex Laser. The procedure neither removes nor fragments your floaters, but vaporizes them into gas bubbles. They are then absorbed into your bloodstream. Many times patients will see the bubbles drop to the bottom of their eye as the laser treatment is being performed.
Employing TCI™ to identify capsular fragments, which can give rise to subsequent floaters, Tango Reflex™ can be used to vaporize broken pieces of the fragment and help to prevent the common patient complaint of sudden floater development after capsulotomy. Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT), plays a critically important role in the treatment of glaucoma.
